Event Overview

Founded in 2011 by international artist Sonia Aimy, African Women Acting (AWA) is an incorporated non-profit organization. AWA empowers, promotes and preserves African cultural arts of all modalities in Ontario.

The 6th Annual AWA Festival took place in Niagara Falls in 2021, featuring livestream performances every Friday in October. Performances remain available for viewing by artist.
